"The student did not have a test on Friday like she normally does, but she still had homework. Her homework for the week was covering waves and interference. There were a lot of practice problems that required her to practice drawing waves in relation to a point in space and waves in a relation to a point in time. She didn't have any problems with this topic. We moved onto geometry because the student said that she was having some problems finding the sides of special triangles and also working with the altitude theorems."
"The student had to do some online homework, which covered Work and Conservation of Energy. Doing the online homework problems went well except that there was a minor issue of entering numbers into a calculator with the wrong decimal place. Entering numbers with a wrong decimal place would throw the answer off by a factor of ten and it happened to a couple of homework problems. So that's something for the student to watch out for. Other than that, we got through the concept of Work just fine. As we were doing problems on Conservation of Energy, I was happy to see that the student remembered how to apply the Conservation of Energy equation to a given problem. She's able to judge which energies (gravitational, elastic, and kinetic) were relevant to the problem and then solve for whatever the problems was asking for (i.e. velocity or just kinetic energy)."
"The student has some homework problems that we worked on. She is now working on electric potential and charges. She also has some circuit problems we worked on (parallel and in series circuits)."
