"The student is studying for a Chemistry test. He has a series of prep questions he needed to complete online and wanted me to check his work as he went through them. Topics included: finding molarity, dilution of a solution, and using stoichiometry of a reaction to determine volume or mass a material. Next he wanted to review a quiz on solubility and concentration. There were several questions that used a solubility chart. Next he needed to find percent solutions and mole fractions, and new molarity using dilution."
"The student had a quiz in both Geometry and in Chemistry the next day, so we worked through review worksheet on both subjects. I had her erase her review worksheet and a homework assignment for Geometry, and we went through the worksheets together. She didn't find them to be all that difficult. We did the same thing in Chemistry, where her teacher was having them draw and name organic compounds. It was frustrating to me because the teacher wasn't technically doing it right and was leaving out a lot of details, but I believe we understood the level that the teacher wanted them to know the material."
"We spent a lot of time on chemistry today, discussing the compositions and nomenclature of anions and cations. The student is doing much better with this! We also worked on geometry, where the student continues to perform well."
