Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered variety of topics (numbers, divisions, number line, ratios...) that are tested in the exam he is preparing for. He is a fast learner and was able to quickly and properly solve the practice problems that he was given on the topics that I tutored him."
"The student has just begun a new chapter after her test last week. She says she felt pretty confident on her test. She said she was feeling very stressed about the new chapter concepts when the teacher was instructing the lesson in class. Once I went over how to do the problems with her, she was on a roll. She had problems where she had to simplify and factor polynomials being divided by one another."
"The student and I reviewed Chapter 6 in his textbook, which covered solving systems of equations by graphing, substitution, and elimination. He has a good grasp on these concepts and when to use which method to solve a problem. We will continue to work on word problems with these concepts, as this seems the area that he struggles a little. Overall he did an excellent job!"
"This was a get to know the student session. As he only works through tutors and has no strict program guide, just general 7th/8th grade math knowledge, we did an 8th grade diagnostic test to get a feel for it all. Using this, I will tonight make a few plans for us to work on Tuesday and see how it works, and then go on from there."
"During this session we began covering logarithms and their properties. We explored challenging problems and discussed how to approach them. After covering the current material, we found ourselves with extra time and used it to begin reading ahead in the chapter and discussing the topics to come."
"During today's session, the student and I covered 12 questions from a previous calculus exam in preparation for her upcoming final. She was confident and well-prepared to answer related questions, and swiftly recovered information she couldn't recall."
