Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on Chapter 14 and selected problems. By doing those, the student was able to practice answering titration problems of weak and strong acids by strong bases. He was accurate in doing the calculations, which was good but I was just a bit worried of the time he was spending in one problem, but he said he was ok from the previous exams about time, so he should be good."
"The student and I went through a problem set for her test tomorrow. We concentrated on stoichiometric relationships and ion equations, which will give her a good foundation for her test."
"Today's session continued working problems with stoichiometry and gram-mole conversions. We introduced the concepts of limited reactant and % yield. The student is becoming more comfortable working these types of problems. In our next session we will continue with more detailed examples of limiting reactants and additional gram-mole practice. In the next session I plan to do more observing of the student solving the problems and less walking through them to ensure that she understands the concepts. The student has a test later this week. She is feeling confident about the test."
