Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over limits, as they were his homework. We needed to do a lot of practice problems as he was quite confused, but I think he finally got it."
"Student and I met from 6:00 - 7:00. We worked another problem set from math section 2.3, polynomial functions of higher degree. She did well."
"We worked on a concept review for the whole past quarter. She showed strong retention of most of the skills and concepts covered."
"The student and I looked over his homework on graphing polar graphs. He had to determine at what values the given equation hit the pole, as well as the range of degree values of the polar function. At the end of our session, we briefly went over an optional worksheet on graphing functions on a real/imaginary number plane. He was able to complete enough diverse examples on it so that he is prepared for the new topics in his math course."
"We went over the student's review sheet on sequence and series and how to prove statements using induction. I think I helped him understand how to look at the problems so he can approach them on his own more confidently."
"We worked on vectors, including writing a vector in component form, adding and subtracting vectors, multiplying a vector by a scalar, finding the unit vector of a vector, rewriting vectors with unit vectors "i" and "j," and sketching vectors."
