Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student created flashcards related to evolution and Darwinism including terms such as artificial selection and natural selection. In preparation for his geometry exam we studied chapter eleven which includes surface area, volume, lateral area, and lateral height of various prisms and 3-d shapes."
"We went over a review of the student's recent class material in preparation for an upcoming quiz. We went over the laws of Sines and Cosines, and followed up with multiple practice problems. We then went over the first few sections in the circles section of the book involving arcs and chords. Overall, the student seemed to understand the material very well."
"Geometry-We went over how to graph lines and circles as well as how to graph their transformations. Chemistry-Went over molarity and molality and how to calculate needed moles or needed liters."
"Today we had an extra session to cover chapter 11 for his test tomorrow. We worked through a good portion of a review test. For the most part the student did well. He is very good with theory."
"The student and I worked on areas of polygons, and the equations A=Pa/2; we used the apothem and right triangle trigonometry along with the ratios of side in 30-60-90 and 45-45-90 triangles to find areas of hexagons, octagons, decagons, and equilateral triangles."
"The student worked on her geometry and also began preparation for final exams. We will work more on exams next session."
