"In today's lesson we reviewed some terms from the New Deal and then discussed the Cold War. We reviewed the Truman Doctrine, the Marshall Plan, the policy of containment, the Chinese Civil War and the Korean War. We then discussed the Eisenhower administration, brinksmanship, the Suez Crisis, the post-Stalinist thaw in the Soviet Union, the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, the U-2 incident, the construction of the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis and Kennedy's assassination. We also talked about the Red Scare of the late 1940's/early 1950's, McCarthyism and the construction of bomb shelters and the Interstate Highway System. I also had answer some questions from the A.P. U.S. History book."
