Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student wanted to review some concepts for her upcoming quiz in chemistry. We specifically covered nomenclature of acids, ionic compounds, molecular compounds, and polyatomic ions. We then did a few problems dealing with molar to molecular conversions and started going over general chemical reactions. She seemed to understand the concepts presented and was able to answer practice problems with ease upon reviewing."
"The student and I worked on the Gas Laws. His main concern was how to determine which gas law to use to solve a particular problem. We looked at different types of problems and I gave him helpful hints on how to use the information given in the problem to determine which gas law equation to use. I left him with extra practice."
"We covered the concepts in chemistry acids and bases and pH, and in Algebra we covered rationalizing denominators and simplifying expressions. Next week, I plan on bringing flashcards and some of my old notes to help the student understand some of the concepts better."
