Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I discussed projectile motion today. We had agreed that for every session, we would cover the principles taught in the first semester that relate to what she is currently working on in her second semester so that she is not lost on the material. This is turning out to be a great strategy for her because she is much better able to answer the practice problems given by her teacher, as well as the conceptual questions I ask her. On the topic of project motion, we pretty much hashed out a whole chapter's worth of information but I applied each piece of information back to Newtonian physics, everyday applications, and then mathematical applications with useful equations. I will continue to organize our sessions as I have the past few weeks. Next, we should be finishing up her chapter on momentum and possibly then moving onto rotational motion or bodies in equilibrium."
"We made a "golden sheet" of formulae for chapters 6-8, circular motion, work-energy and momentum. We tackled the larger problem of how to approach a problem."
"We covered electric fields and how they relate to basic circuits. The student seemed to grasp the concepts quickly."
