Tutoring review by Matthew in Union City, GA
I worked with the student on a variety of problems today, including basic integration and optimization problems. He has a good understanding of the material, so we are going to start focusing on trig, and am going to incorporate trig review into problems we work. He has had an introduction to integration by substitution as well, so that's something I'm keeping in mind. His teacher is still teaching the material, and we are going to go over it more in our Thursday session.

Tutoring review by Michelle in Union City, GA
During this session, we reviewed the algebra II concepts that the student learned over the summer. He needed to go over a few concepts again, such as vertex and intercept form of a parabola, sum and difference of cubes, and finding the vertex of a parabola from standard form. Other concepts that had been difficult for him earlier in the summer came back easily, like writing the equation of a parabola given three points, and using completing the square to write an equation in vertex form. Overall, he was confident in the concepts we reviewed. At the end of the session, we made a list together of concepts for him to review and practice problems he can continue to do in order to solidify the concepts.

Tutoring review by Christopher in Union City, GA
The student and I reviewed his homework, which focused on multiplying fractions and reducing them. We then reviewed some extra worksheets on multiplying fractions. He understands the concept very well. We finished the session by playing some online multiplication games. The multiplication tables are still a struggle for him, so some daily practice with flashcards or games would be helpful. We will also continue to cover them in our sessions. He was a pleasure to work with as usual.
