"I'm currently an undergraduate student at Arizona State University who will be graduating in May with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I was raised here in the valley, but spent a large portion of my time in Greece, where my family is from. I'm capable of tutoring a wide variety of subjects, but I particularly enjoy teaching mathematics, chemistry, and biology. These subjects normally inspire drawn out yawns and shivering fear at the seemingly unattainable knowledge held within them."

"I am finishing a thesis for my Masters in Philosophy. Fittingly enough, I prefer the Socratic method when tutoring. I find that most students have the ability to answer most questions for themselves with a few properly directed questions from a good tutor. I also find that this method builds confidence in the student I am tutoring."

"My teaching style is to break down complex tasks into smaller pieces so that the final concept can be understood at every stage. I believe that the best way to learn a new type of problem is to relate it to something you already know how to do. Every question is a question worth asking, and I will always take the time to adapt to your learning style and present material in the way that is easiest for you to understand.."

"Hi, I'm Chelsey! I graduated in 2011 from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ with a B.S. in Environmental Science/Applied Mathematics and a minor in Spanish. I tutor all levels of math (Algebra through Calculus and beyond), but I also enjoy helping with several other subjects! At NAU I was a teaching assistant for introductory chemistry labs, and in high school I helped with an adult ELL night class, in addition to tutoring many of my peers. I have found that providing a student with the right tools and encouragement, as well as a deeper understanding of the subject, can go a long way." ...
