I am a graduate of Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a minor in Psychology. While obtaining my degree I have had the opportunity to tutor different types of students within varying age ranges. The most notable experience I have had was while I was working through my school, in conjunction with the "CEO Leadership Academy." I was able to assist students in conducting college-level academic research on topics related to social justice. Since graduating, I have enrolled in a graduate program at Kansas City University with the goal of obtaining a Master's Degree in Biomedical Sciences. In addition to recently becoming a graduate student, I have also been rigorously studying to retake the MCAT and searching for opportunities that will allow me to be a more competitive applicant for medical school. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about the natural sciences such as Anatomy, Biology, and Physiology. Through my own personal experience with younger students, my own educational advances and my general interaction with students in my age bracket, I have learned that not everyone is susceptible or responds to the same types of teaching styles. In my teaching process, I try to explain things in as many different ways as possible, and many times, in an outside-the-box method. I demonstrate many different styles and methods to ensure that a concept or subject is easier to grasp and understand and find great satisfaction with helping others. I believe that education is extremely important in order to advance toward any goal that one may have so I try to make learning fun. I am confident that my love for what I do will benefit those that share the same quest for knowledge and information. I believe that if you make learning fun, you will become more passionate and interested in learning, and in turn, find something that you are passionate about enough to want to pursue as a career or hobby. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, cooking, working out, and watching an occasional movie or two.
