Danielle

Ever since I was a little girl I've loved to read. As a child, I devoured as many books as I could get my hands on and I still love reading today. That passion for reading translated into my decision to study English literature at Anderson University in South Carolina. I spent my undergraduate years studying English, British, and modern literature as well as grammar and composition, creative writing, and the history of the English language. My college experience taught me a lot - especially how to balance reading three different novels and writing four different essays for my classes in any given week. Culminating my hard work studying literature, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2012.

Today I work as an A/R Specialist and Office Manager for a construction company and still read any chance I get. As a tutor, I'm enthusiastic about making learning fun rather than a chore and inspiring a love of reading and writing in students. Learning how to read literature is so much more than just acquiring a skill to pass a class - literature teaches us empathy, communication skills, creative problem solving, and exposes us to a wider, more diverse world.
