I love science and languages in equal measure. I have a BS in biochemistry and classics from the University of Michigan and a PhD in classics from Harvard University. My dissertation research focused on the interactions between science and culture in the ancient world. I have tutored alongside most of my education and jobs. While at the University of Michigan, I worked at the Academic Resource Center, tutoring athletes in chemistry. When I worked for a year at a biotech company, I also tutored high-school students in geometry and calculus. And during graduate school I tutored Latin and Greek to several middle-school and high-school students in the Cambridge, MA area.
My tutoring passions are Latin and chemistry at all levels. It's always a treat to help students succeed through visualizing their tasks in different ways.
