I believe that patience, listening, and a judgement-free atmosphere create the best possible conditions for a student's success. I hope to help people achieve their goals through structured practice and continual support.
I studied anthropology at the undergraduate and graduate level, and took courses in history, philosophy, psychology, and english. I enjoy tutoring students in the social sciences and humanities, and especially love working on writing skills. I taught english to grades 8-12 as a Fulbright scholar in Bulgaria, peer mentored university students through their first research experiences, helped implement a US history curriculum in three New Jersey high schools, and have done direct care work with adults with special needs. I'm open to a wide range of students and hope that I can make your tutoring experience both fun and productive.
