I think that all students learn best when they believe that the material is relevant to them. Part of my job as a tutor is to find this connection and use it to engage the student. Then, we find which learning style best suits that student and it becomes much easier for them to understand and retain new material.
I have a Bachelor of Science in English and Biology from Cedar Crest College. I used my English skills extensively working as a newspaper reporter while continuing my education at Rutgers/UMDNJ to become a Physician Assistant. After 25 years as a PA, I have retired to pursue my passion for writing fiction.
My hobbies include coaching gymnastics, horseback riding, reading, quilting and soap making. i greatly enjoyed homeschooling my children, who are now in college. I love doing almost any outdoor activity.
