I have been teaching for 20 years. I started by teaching English as a Second Language in Mexico. I did that and became proficient in that for about 13 years. In 2009 I moved back to the United States and became a GED teacher. I taught Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Math. I taught classes in both English and Spanish as I am fluent in both. I did that for 5 years. Recently I taught 5th Grade Elementary School children in a dual language setting. I feel that my passion for teaching and the connection I have with my students makes me good at what I do. My students also have appreciated my "Student Friendly" style of teaching where I tend to be very straight forward and break things down to a very basic level.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching style is very straightforward. I like to break things down and make the information understandable. I consider that my teaching style is definitely student friendly. I give my students bits of information at a time and try not to overwhelm them. I feel that if I have passion and energy for what I'm teaching, the students will also feel that and can stay engaged throughout the learning process.
