I graduated from Columbia College in South Carolina with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish and Communication Studies. During my undergraduate years I studied abroad in Mexico, tutored for the Spanish Department and served as a volunteer Spanish teacher for third graders at Clubhouse Kids. In addition, to my undergraduate experiences, I have been teaching Spanish for the past four years. I also have a Masters of Arts in Foreign Language Education from UNC Charlotte.

I enjoy sharing my passion for the Spanish language and culture with my students on a daily basis. My teaching style is very interactive. The best way to teach a foreign language is to get students excited about the language through creative activities that they can enjoy. I also try to plan my lessons around a students' learning style. Based on my experience as a teacher, I realize that students seem to gain a better understanding of the lesson when I am able to focus on their individual learning styles.
