I am originally from Barcelona, Spain, and have been teaching Spanish for over 8 years. I have experience teaching all levels of Spanish: 1-5 Spanish, AP Spanish, SAT preparation, business Spanish, homework assignments, conversational classes, reading comprehension and written reports. I am very patient, excellent communicator and know how to make a lesson both fun and engaging for my students.

Each student needs a different approach.

Understand what they need and, if that is the case, explore the best way to deal with their frustrations.

Encouraging their potential.

Maintaining an interesting, encouraging, and entertaining class.

Understand the reason of the difficulty and overcome the problem together.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

Be truly sympathetic with his difficulties, we all have or had the same difficulties.

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

By finding different point of views to face the subject.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

Exercises where the student has to demonstrate the new learning in order to resolve the problem.

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

By demonstrating that what he or she already knows is very valuable.

How do you evaluate a student's needs?

Talking with them and using my experience.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?

I explain my tutoring to the student and let the student to share their own ideas.
