My philosophy of teaching is based on a belief that learning needs to be student centered and that students need to be equal partners in the learning process. My role involves using my expertise to put the necessary resources in the hands of my students so they are well equipped to comprehend and answer their questions correctly. By creating an interactive learning environment and incorporating kinesthetic, visual and auditory approaches ensures that all their unique learning styles are addressed. As an educator, I enjoy creating fun strategies to assist my students in understanding the material and pride myself in being able to modify my teaching/tutoring strategies to meet my students’ specific needs.
Outside tutoring, I enjoy playing and watching tennis as well as taking my dog for long walks on the many beautiful trails Houston has to offer. My small garden fosters my love for the culinary arts and I enjoy cooking a variety of ethnic dishes. I have been fortunate to travel to many interesting parts of the world and continue to travel as often as possible. Since my family is from Europe, I speak German and French fluently and enjoy visiting as often as possible.
