I am laid back and think creating an atmosphere where a student feels comfortable to take risks is essential to their growth. I strongly believe in building up students' confidence to help them achieve their goals. I like to make a genuine connection with each student and continually look for ways to make learning fun!
After graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Marist College in psychology/special education, I completed my master’s degree in literacy at the State University of New York at Albany. I have taught for ten years as a special educator, classroom teacher and literacy specialist. I have also tutored students in grades K-10, as well as college students while pursuing my undergraduate degree.
