I am currently part of the Denver Math Fellow program at Columbine Elementary School. This AmeriCorp program specializes in targeting individual students who need extra assistance in their math studies. In addition to being a Math Fellow, I also work for Results Learning twice a week where I work with 2nd and 3rd grade students on the Reading and Writing Comprehension.
Originally, I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I have my B.A. in Psychology and English Literature from Webster University. During college, I also tutored through the Literacy Corp, tutoring high school students in English Literature and essay writing. After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles, California. While I was there, I worked for ACES as a behavioral Interventionist for children with autism.
At Varsity Tutors, I will be tutoring elementary math, high school English, essay writing, and Psychology. My favorite subjects to tutor are English and essay writing. I have always had a passion for literature and enjoy discussing and analyzing works of fiction. My teaching philosophy when I tutor is that every child should be provided the opportunity to succeed.
I am excited to have moved to Denver and be part of the Denver community. I enjoy hiking on the weekends, reading, and playing the piano.
