I am currently working on my B.B.A. in Actuarial Science at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation I plan to start my career as an Actuary. Actuaries manage financial risks by predicting the future value of those risks. When I was a senior in high school I was a member of the National Honor Society. After school, myself and fellow senior members would help freshmen in Algebra and Geometry. Throughout my freshmen and sophomore years in College I helped many of my peers with College Algebra, a class I tested out of. With my help, many of my friends test grades went up. I teach Math with patience. I know Math can be difficult for a lot of people, and I am very lucky that it isn't for me. I really enjoy tutoring because I am able to help others that are having that difficulty. While high school Mathematics is my favorite to tutor, I am also capable of tutoring any Math k-12, College Algebra, and Geometry. Outside of academics I am a frequent runner, tennis player, and coffee shop goer.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My philosophy is to teach with patience. Math can be difficult for a lot of people, and it is important to have patience. I make sure my students have a clear understanding before moving forward.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a first session, I like to get an overview of the concepts the student is having a hard time grasping. Then, I create a time frame on when these skills need to be mastered.
