I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Doctor of Pharmacy. Currently, I serve as a professor to 2nd-year pharmacy students and work as a drug information specialist at a university health system. Having spent the majority of my life as a student, I have developed a passion for teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students of all ages and knowledge levels.
I began tutoring at the age of 13 when my younger cousins expressed a desire to learn Spanish. Little did I know, that moment was just the beginning of a blossoming tutoring and teaching experience! As I progressed through my secondary education, I went on to tutor friends, family members, and classmates in Spanish, math, writing, and SAT preparation. In pharmacy school, as a member of the Rho Chi National Pharmacy Honor Society, I was recruited to tutor classmates in one-on-one settings and in small groups in various pharmacy courses. Now, I am a professor for over 150 students!
In evaluations, my students have expressed their appreciation for my sense of humor and approachable nature. They report that they always feel comfortable asking questions and are able to better process information they learn because of my emphasis on creating a stress-free learning environment.
I joined Varsity Tutors because I want to continue to facilitate student learning in all my areas of expertise. I strive to be a positive, encouraging instructor who takes into account students' needs in order to help them reach their end goals. I look forward to helping you reach yours!
