I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I earned a BA in Sociology at the State University of New York at Buffalo while also playing Division I-A football. After a successful career in sales, I found my true passion in working for, and on behalf of children, through volunteer work on the West and Southside of Chicago. After completing Teach For America I went on to earn awards as Teacher of the Year in the St. Louis Public School District. Teaching children different ways to solve problems and equipping them with a skill that they will use on a daily basis is fulfilling for me. I pull new understanding from students with purposeful questioning that allows them to ask themselves these questions when they are faced with problems out in the real world.
