I just completed my Juris Doctor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. I also have a BS in Economics as well as an MBA from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. I am editor-in-chief of Wolters Kluwer/CCH publications with topics including Anti-money Laundering, Foreign Tax and Trade Briefs, Company Law, and FATCA. I am currently authoring a new publication on Wealth Management and pursuing the CFA and CPA certifications. I really enjoying tutoring because there is no better feeling than helping a student achieve their goals. In my free time I enjoy the pool, working out, social events, and working on my golf game.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to find a way to relate the material to things that the student already knows and enjoys discussing.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In the first session with a student, I like to get to know the student as a person because personality type plays an important role in how a student learns. I also like to find out what the student's goals are and their plan to achieve those goals.
