It is a privilege to use my education, experience, and interests to teach French one-on-one, in a setting where all my attention is focused on one student's needs and gifts.

I am bi-cultural and bilingual since I grew up in France in an American family. I completed most of my studies at the University of Strasbourg in France. I attended middle and high school at the International School of Strasbourg before starting my studies in Archaeology, Art History and French literature. I now have a Master's Degree in Art, History and Civilizations of Europe. I completed my Master's Degree with distinction. Currently, I am completing a Master's Program in Secondary Education/ Foreign Languages: French, at George Washington University. I anticipate completing the program and receiving a teaching license in December 2015.

I have a deep interest in pedagogy and the learning process. I have taught French in a wide variety of settings to children, teenagers, and adults, at all levels. My experience teaching French includes four years at the Alliance Franaise, four years as an online tutor, and a year and a half as an adjunct faculty at George Washington University. Currently, I work as a part-time French high-school teacher as I complete my certification program. One of the many gratifying aspects of my work is transmitting communication skills and the structure of French. Another is showing students that language is an expression of culture through which new experiences and perspectives can be discovered.

It is through maturation, professional experience, and much conviction that I have come to my calling as a teacher and tutor. The caring and supportive aspect of the teacher's role fulfills me on a personal and emotional level. The thought-stimulating challenge inherent to teaching a foreign language satisfy me on an intellectual level and feed my motivation to be the best, most rigorous teacher possible.
