I am an undergraduate student at Loyola Marymount University pursuing my B.S. in Computer Science and a Minor in Physics. I have always been passionate about math and science, as those are the subjects I have always excelled at, and enjoy helping others to excel at as well.
In the past, I voluntarily tutored my peers in math and science (specifically physics) because I truly enjoy spreading knowledge of these subjects. I have tutored other students for the Mathematics Department at Loyola Marymount University for a year and plan on continuing to do so for the 2015-16 academic year.
My approach to tutoring is simple and effective. Understand the tools a student has at his/her disposal, adjust my teaching methods to accommodate their abilities, help them approach their seemingly big problem, and guide them to chipping away at it to not only find the answer within, but to learn the concepts they can add to their toolbox to approach future problems when I am not with them.
