As a tutor, I want my students to feel like they have made significant progress with each session. Each student has his or her own strengths and weaknesses, and together we can determine the best plan of action for improvement in any given area. There are always a number of strategies we can use to get you to your goals, and I will make sure we find the right method for you.
I love teaching on the individual level because seeing students' progress is the most gratifying part of being an educator. I am creatively inclined with a strong background in language and writing as well as mathematics and test prep. I attended Duke University as an undergrad and obtained a Masters in Literary Studies from the University of Denver. I taught First Year Composition at Southwestern Colorado Community College while I was living in Durango and have held several editorial positions since graduation. Whether its snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, or camping, I love spending time in the mountains. Right now my hobbies include photography, writing, and web design.
