Graduating with a BA in English with a minor in French in May 2015, I will use both my experiences as a student and as a professional tutor to give the most effective training to students in need. My areas of specialization involve 4 years of college French, 2 of Latin, 1 of Russian, and a semester of Attic Greek. Also, in the sciences I have expertise in anatomy and physiology and biology. The language experience also informs my knowledge of history - which is by far my favorite subject; history combines languages, economics, culture, and narratives. Essay writing and editing come easily for me: my knowledge of grammar, syntax, and essay structure is unparalleled - you must master grammar in order to learn another language.
The methods I've developed in studying languages can be applied equally to test prep, as they develop top level memorization, retention and recall skills. I have over a year’s experience working with young children, children with special needs, and advanced placement students. Whatever the needs, I will cater to your personal educational tastes and engage in the most effective manner. Outside hobbies include sculpture, calligraphy, martial arts, and online gaming. I look forward to hearing from you!
