I am a graduate of Missouri State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Bio-medical science. I recently completed a Bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Chemistry and Biochemistry. My future directions include attending medical school to become a practicing physician or to obtain a masters/PhD in order to be a professor at a university. I have tutored for the TRiO program at Missouri State University where I worked extensively with first generation and low income college students. I have tutored a variety of sciences, but I thoroughly enjoy helping students in the subjects of Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, and Psychology. It is my experience that students that struggle to understand what they are learning have a difficult time visualizing the information and relating it to what they already know. My goal as a tutor is to make things fun and interesting which not only helps students learn the information, but allows them to truly understand/retain what they learn. I believe that education is an important part of life that helps us grow to understand the world around us.
