I tutored with a tutoring resource funded by the University of California Irvine. I was able to travel weekly to a local high school classroom and tutor students in small groups and in the subject of Social Studies. Each week I would lead an outlined discussion with my group to help them better understand the historical time period they were learning about in their classroom and the basic concepts associated with that time period.

I love to learn about the world I am in. When I tutor, I have the opportunity to help someone else discover what makes learning so great. I believe there are many different ways in which an individual can learn. I think that helps me to find success as a tutor. Additionally, my background in dance allows me to easily create inventive ways to help kinesthetic learners succeed. I also enjoy getting to know people and spending time with them, which helps me develop good relationships with those I tutor.

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn a great deal, but we all have different ways of learning. My goal as a tutor and teacher is to find the student's best learning method, and then to teach in a way that accommodates that learning method.
