I am a graduate of The Ohio State University, holding a Bachelor’s of Arts in English. The track that I studied focused on preparing students to become educators. I am currently working towards getting my teaching certificate through Capital University. I have experience student teaching in a high school environment, observing in a middle school environment, and tutoring elementary-age students in the literary arts. I am also certified by the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities to work with students with developmental disabilities. I am very passionate about English, Writing, and Literature. I view the written word as a commentary on the human condition, as well as a gateway into higher levels of thinking and analyzing that everyone can use in all situations. I find education as a place in which students and teachers can come together to create, explore, and expand their understanding of the world in new, unique ways for each individual. In my spare time, I’m very interested in photography, graphic design, reading, traveling, and trying new foods and restaurants. I also love animals and own two silly ferrets and a clingy dog.
