I'm a student at the University of California - Riverside, working towards earning my bachelor's of science in mathematics as it applies to economics. My tutoring subject is mathematics. I've always had an interest in helping other's grasp mathematics, and I've been tutoring students since the sixth grade, when I would help third graders with problem areas in their studies. Since then I've always had a real drive to help struggling students not only learn mathematics but also realize that they're more than capable students. As a student myself, I understand the doubt that comes with struggling in mathematics but over the course of my learning career have come to realize that math is a tough subject! A good attitude, a little work, and a positive learning environment is essential and I'm glad to help provide those things and help students understand that they have the tools to succeed in math. To balance the logic based pursuit of mathematics, I have a vested interest in the arts, primarily music and film. Along with my passion for finding truth in mathematics, I have a passion for finding deep human emotion in the arts. I also really enjoy video games as well, it's nice to turn your brain off every so often.
