I had by Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology where I specialized in Biostatistics, Wildlife and Entomology. I proceeded to the University of Nottingham in London to pursue an MPhil programme in Computer Based Biology. In the middle of my programme, I migrated to the United States to read Medicine. I am currently at Chicago State University doing Pre-med. I am also working as a researcher in the Department of Cell Biology working on Dictyostilium Cells. My extensive knowledge in Biostatistics increased my passion for Mathematics which has helped me become a great tutor in Mathematics.
Mathematics has been a nightmare for many students, making them lose hope in their education and leaves them frustrated whenever they go to class. As Albert Einstein said, “If a teacher cannot teach his student to understand a common concept, it means the teacher himself does not understand the concept he is teaching." I have control over the concepts in mathematics and I am able to explain it to the student in an understandable way. This approach of teaching has led a lot of my students' success in mathematics. Apart from mathematics, I also tutor Chemistry, Biology and other high school sciences. Aside from tutoring and research I like to sing for fun. I am a music director in my church. My act of encouraging students and motivating students helps lead to their success. I cannot wait to have a good experiences with students while tutoring with Varsity Tutors.
