I am a graduate of Brandeis University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. I am now a first-year pharmacy student at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University, and I am currently working toward my Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. During college, I was a teaching assistant for the introductory psychology course, and I have tutored English to students of all ages, mostly high school students. I tutor English, Biology, and Psychology (with a possibility of tutoring SAT Critical Reading and Writing). I am very passionate about biology, and for me, biology is the most fun to tutor. However, because I take many science courses at school, it is especially nice to tutor non-science courses such as English and psychology, subjects that I also really enjoyed throughout high school and college.
As a current student, I understand how some subjects can be extremely overwhelming. I believe that one way to strengthen one’s understanding of a topic is to take a step backward and reinforce the knowledge of prior topics. My goal is to help students understand the basics before moving onto more complicated topics. In addition, I would like to help students foster an appreciation for education and to understand why they are learning these subjects.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, seeing Broadway musicals, going to concerts, and watching movies (particularly Pixar/Disney and Marvel/DC movies!)
