Elizabeth

I am a graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Economics and Baylor Business Fellows and minors in Mathematics and Middle Eastern Studies. Since graduation, I have taught as a Fulbright Scholar in Eastern Turkey, and discovered my passion for teaching and refined my practice. My classroom was a place of laughter, games, and hard work. During those years I also individually tutored EFL and IELTS and found that between an individualized learning plan and a strong relationship with the student, more could be achieved than in a traditional classroom setting.

My patience, intuitiveness, and problem-solving abilities build on the bed-rock of my stellar testing abilities to make me a great tutor. Throughout the past 10 years I have volunteered as a camp counselor for foster kids (ages 7-15), and tutored math, these experiences have built my ability to intuit what a student means and how to encourage them forward even while correcting mistakes. As a National Merit Scholar, I know how important standardized tests can be, and enjoy turning standardized test questions into little puzzles to logic out. I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking and eating.
