I recently graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master's degree in Molecular Epidemiology with a focus on Statistics, Public Health, Molecular and Cellular Biology. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from the University of Arizona in Tucson. I am currently working on my Teaching Credential at California State University, Long Beach, and my long-term career goal is to become a teacher. I tutored a wide range of subjects during my high school and early college years. I have worked with students ranging in age from kindergarten to college, where I was a teaching assistant for three years. I am a strong believer in early education and active learning, where both the teacher and the student have active roles in the student’s learning process. I always find it rewarding when tutoring and teaching a student.
My primary goal is to plant the love of learning in my students, so they do not feel pressured in the process of advancing their knowledge in the subject area being taught. This helps both the student and the teacher to move forward with the process in a much smoother and enjoyable manner. My favorite subject has been - and is still is - math at all levels, followed by science.
In my spare time I enjoy sports (cardio, running, biking), and reading.
