I started off my college career on a path to become a Civil Engineer like my grandfather, but quickly learned that was not my true passion. Through a series of twists and turns I ended up in the field of biology. I started my college career with a very low GPA and was put on academic probation, but through hard work and dedication I was able to raise my GPA while taking multiple upper division science courses with laboratories sections.
I understand that through hard work, focus, and the will to achieve, anything is possible. I never thought that at the end of my college career I would have taken the MCAT, gotten above a 90th percentile score, and be on a path to medical school. I have seen a transformation in myself and I hope to pass these traits on to anyone who is willing to dedicate their time to reach higher in their academic performance.
