I am a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a focus in geology, geography, creative writing, education and theater. During my time as a student at CU, I was the French tutor for 2 years, participated in tutor training classes, and thoroughly enjoyed the one-on-one aspect of tutoring. I also have experience in a high school classroom as a teaching intern. The subjects that I am most passionate about tutoring are creative and essay writing, reading, earth sciences, public speaking, foreign languages (French), and test preparation, including ACT. These are subjects that I continue to learn about, that play an integral part of my life, and that are an absolute joy to share with others. Because of my background in theater, my style of tutoring is quite energetic, animated, thought provoking, and personal. When I say personal, I mean that I want not only to help students but to get to know them and use what they already know to learn new material. I have extensive experience traveling throughout the world (I spent almost four years in Europe), which also gives me the ability to see problems and solutions from different perspectives. Here in Denver, I play tennis, soccer, bicycle, act in plays, and in the winter, I've been known to snowboard.
