I am a University of California, Irvine graduate with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. I was privileged to graduate with honors and at the top 3% of my class. Since graduation, I have been working as an Emergency Room Scribe and a Trauma Research Coordinator. I have also recently applied to medical school. I would describe my teaching style as “adaptive” as I have grown to understand the differences in learning styles in my students. I strive to convey the material in a way that is consistent to my students’ learning preferences whether it be verbally through summaries, visually through diagrams, or textually through worksheets/outlines. My goal as a tutor is to not only cover the material but also to help develop mechanisms of studying that will maximize the ability of my students to succeed on their own. While I am able to tutor a spectrum of science subjects, my favorite subject is biology. Several of my favorite courses in college were physiology, neurobiology, and molecular biology. My hobbies outside of academia including dancing, watching movies, and trying new and interesting restaurants!
