As a Master of Arts in International Education Management graduate from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, I have taught English, Spanish and have given TOEFL test preparation help to adults, high school students, children and business level executives in the United States and abroad. My passion for education started at the University of Minnesota where I received a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and where I studied abroad in Venezuela and learned Spanish. From then on, I decided to move to Panama where I earned a TEFL certification and I tutored high school students and adults English as a second language. I also helped other teachers from the United States learn Spanish. My love for language and culture initially led me to pursue my masters which led me to Mexico City, where I taught English to students interested in studying in the United States. I believe that language learning is fun and that is how I try to make my classes. Making learning fun by using a variety of activities, games and technology to facilitate learning is my teaching style. I am an outgoing yet relaxed person who enjoys spending time with friends and family and most all traveling.
