Rebecca

I graduated from the University of Redlands in 2014, with a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and French Language. While I was in college, I was a peer tutor for writing, Communicative Disorders classes, and all levels of French Language, and was the runner-up for the Tutor of the Year award. I love learning languages, and helping others go through the same learning process I did (and hopefully inspiring the same passion) is what makes my job so rewarding. I also tutor writing, English, and standardized test prep. I think the most important part of tutoring is building a strong relationship with the client. From my experience, getting to know my clients on a personal level helps me to assess their learning styles and find the most effective way to explain to them any concepts they may be struggling with. While I am always professional, I find that students respond better to advice and explanations that come to them from someone who is a friend as well as a teacher/tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and contemporary dance.
