I am a graduate of California State University, Stanislaus, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. while employed as an Actuarial Analyst. I am passionate and highly enthusiastic when it comes to teaching Mathematics. I believe all students have the ability to learn and excel in Mathematics. My main goal in teaching Mathematics is to ensure that my students fully understand and grasp the concepts and problems at hand. It is also my goal to adapt my teaching style to the way my students learn. I am also a member of the EnCorps Teachers Program and a teacher candidate currently pursuing a California Single Subject Mathematics Intern Credential through UCLA Extension. I have about 20 years of experience tutoring Mathematics to students from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as special needs students. I also have extensive experience in tutoring and coaching students in taking Standardized Tests, with emphasis on test taking strategies. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, soccer, basketball, yoga, as well as solving puzzles and riddles.
