Peter

I am a graduate from the University of Southern California with a dual degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention B.S. and Theatre Arts B.A. I am an aspiring medical student with hopes of one day becoming a cardiologist. As an individual who has been tutoring since high school, I have accrued over eight years of experience working with students from the 3rd grade to undergraduates in college. I've tutored all the STEM subjects, essay writing for high school students, even organizational skills for adolescents. My favorite subject to tutor is without a doubt mathematics, ranging from calculus to algebra. I love to tutor math because I enjoy the straightforward, "one-solution" nature of arithmetic and I find communicating this idea to my students is a fun, easy way to get ahead in math. As a visual and verbal learner, I implement highly interactive methods when tutoring my students. I like to use lots of examples to reiterate practice, while also making sure to exhibit the utmost patience when working with my students. I love to laugh, have a good time, and I take that mentality in with me while tutoring in order to promote a safe, healthy, and productive working environment. A stressed student is a student who will be unable to work at full capacity, and that is something I take very seriously. Outside of school, I love to play football and basketball, and I proudly support my longtime favorite team, the Los Angeles Lakers. In my spare time I also enjoy doing voice over acting roles for movies and video games.
