La Cresha

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. I received a Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Criminal Justice/Criminology. Three weeks after graduation, I enrolled into the graduate program of Modern Languages and Literatures with an emphasis in Spanish, where I received my Master of Arts degree two years later. As an undergraduate, I intensified my knowledge of the Spanish language and culture by traveling abroad to Valladolid, Spain where I spent an eye opening five weeks. While in Spain, I traveled to several provinces and acquired new and exciting knowledge of the country as well as its history. In addition, I began to teach Spanish I-IV at the undergraduate level as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, as well as have taught Spanish as an Adjunct Instructor for two other colleges.

My responsibilities as a GTA was to tutor and teach students who struggled with the language and concepts. In addition to teaching Spanish, my favorite subjects to teach are E.S.L (English as a Second Language) and Reading/Writing of any grade level. I have taught ESL to adults in the community colleges as well as churches for four years. I am very passionate about helping students succeed in order to better their future and abilities. I am willing to work with any demographic and enjoy the challenge. In my free time, I like to listen to music, play Mario on the WII and attend ministry meetings.
