Ronil

I am currently a sophomore at UCLA pursuing a degree in Business Economics. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others to understand difficult concepts. I know that everyone thinks differently and that what makes sense to one person will not make sense to another. I can always tell, however, when someone says that they understand something when in reality they do not and are simply too scared to admit it. As a result I will make sure that I drive home any concept a student is confused about and explain it in as many different ways as possible to ensure his or her understanding before proceeding to more challenging concepts.

My favorite subjects to tutor are math and chemistry and I have very strong knowledge of the SAT and how to own it. Beyond just teaching students the basics of a subject, however, I hope to develop a strong relationship with them and instill in them motivation and a positive spirit to attack their work with more vigor and confidence than they have ever had. I am a very ambitious individual and my philosophy in life is that you can do anything you set your mind to. Mindset is so, so important, and I believe that with a powerful mindset one can push through any barrier and overcome any obstacle not just in learning, but in life. Furthermore, my goal is not just to simply help a student do better in a subject they are struggling in, but to also make them better in every aspect of their life and to never let an academic challenge scare them, but rather excite them and push them to strive for excellence.

I have a passion for music and in my spare time love to sing and play the guitar(I'm currently learning piano as well!). I am also a huge fan of personal development, and love to read books or listen to audiotapes which will help me better myself as a person and reach that next level in my life.
