I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida. I received my Bachelor of Science in English Language Arts Education, grades 6-12 with a specialization in English Speakers of other Languages (ESOL). My career experience includes teaching 6th grade English, as well as Creative Writing for grades 6-8. I have tutored and taught a range of student courses including gifted, advanced, ESE, ESOL, and standard level children. My field experience includes working one on one in developing strong literacy skills, phonics, grammar, writing techniques, English Literature, and public speaking from 1st to 12th grade.
Since one of my favorite hobbies is to read and write, I love teaching children to develop strong literacy habits and gain appreciation for analyzing the writing process in story development. Learning new vocabulary, breaking down proper grammar techniques, and discussing literature in a fun and relatable way are how I have the best experiences with my students. I try to impart positive reinforcement in relevant ways to give my students the confidence they need to progress in academics and in life. After leaving eight years of competitive cheerleading behind, I continue to take dance during my free time, draw, run, and revel in the outdoors as much as I can.
