I am a 2004 graduate of Wellesley College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Latin American Studies with a focus in Politics. After graduation, I became a MATCH Corps and Americorps member. MATCH is a charter high school in the Boston area. As part of the MATCH Corps, I worked full time with MATCH students, tutoring them one on one in AP US History and the SAT test. I lead small group tutoring sessions in Psychology, Chinese cinema and a reading aloud program (RAP). I also did a lot of editing college personal statements. As a separate part of my responsibilities, I traveled to a local middle school twice a week and tutored students in 3rd grade Math. After my year with MATCH, I attended Northeastern University and graduated with a law degree. Throughout my time in law school, I remained close to the MATCH community and continued to do weekend tutoring for students. Though I have tutored in a broad range of subjects I am most passionate about the Social Sciences and English. The most enjoyable part of teaching, for me, is coming up with new and creative ways of imparting information to students. I take great pride in keeping my lessons interesting and ever changing.
