I am a Ph.D. graduate from the University of California at Los Angeles where I received my degree in Chemical Engineering. Prior to my graduate education, I received my B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I was a Graduate Student Mentor at the UCLA Undergraduate Center in which I led workshops and classes for undergraduate students in strategies for involvement in research, suggestions for productivity in experimental research and preparation of scientific posters and papers. Through this role, I have tutored students in scientific writing proficiency by reviewing papers written by students enrolled in programs targeted for underrepresented minorities in research. I am available to tutor various math subjects as well as biology, chemistry and biochemistry. I enjoy tutoring these subjects since understanding the fundamentals can lead to mastery of more complex problems and concepts. I truly believe that a strong educational background can lead to multiple successful career paths and I love being a positive part of the process for students. I am patient, enthusiastic and committed. In my free time, I play violin in a symphony and love to try new restaurants and attend concerts and shows.
